<description>all heard the ads of companies that claim they can help solve your debt a lot less than actually owed. But like most things that sound too good to be true, it is clear that these statements are too. Many consumers who fall into the debt trap to attract those advertised promises to reduce the debt burden, sometimes up to 75 percent. In return, companies require payment in advance. These rights may be relatively large, depending on the size of the debt, and payments made in advance, there is little incentive for companies to follow through on promises. Now the New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo to call many of these debt settlement companies for their empty promises and dishonest practices. He sued the record by a tariff structure of 14 companies debt settlement and a law firm.
